Install SSL Certificate for Mozilla Firefox Browsers

Perform the following steps for Mozilla Firefox browsers. The procedure assumes that the certificate .PEM file has been exported from the SSL Visibility Appliance and stored in a network location.

To install the certificate, the user must have admin privileges on the client systems.

    1. Select Advanced.
    1. Select the Encryption tab.
    1. Click View Certificates. The browser displays the Certificate Manager dialog.
    1. Navigate to where you stored the certificate and click Open.
    1. Click Import. The Downloading Certificate dialog displays.
  1. On the Downloading Certificate dialog, select Trust this CA to identify websites and click OK.

Install SSL Certificate for Chrome Browsers

Perform the following steps for Google Chrome browsers. The procedure assumes that the certificate .PEM file has been exported from the SSL Visibility Appliance and stored in a network location.

To install the certificate, the user must have admin privileges on the client systems.

  1. In the Chrome browser, navigate to the Under the Hood settings page: Wrench icon > Options > Under the Hood (or enter chrome://settings/advanced).
  1. Access the import certificate wizard.

    1. In the HTTPS/SSL area, click Manage Certificates.
    1. Select the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab.
    1. Click Import.
  1. Import the certificate.
    1. On the first wizard screen, click Next.
    1. Click Browse and navigate to the certificate location; select it and click Next.
    1. Select the Place all certificates in the following store option.
    1. If not already selected, Browse and select Trusted Root Certification Authorities; click Next.
    1. Click Finish.

Install SSL Certificate for Microsoft Internet Explorer Browsers

Perform the following steps for Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers. The procedure assumes that the certificate .PEM file has been exported from the SSL Visibility Appliance and stored in a network location.

To install the certificate, the user must have admin privileges on the client systems.

  1. In the browser:
    1. Navigate to where you downloaded the file.
    1. Right-click the file, and select Install Certificate.
    1. You might be prompted for admin credentials and/or a confirmation prompt.
  1. On the first wizard screen, click Next.
  1. On the Certificate Store screen:
    1. Select the Place all certificates in the following store option.
    1. Click Browse.
    1. Select the Trusted Root Certification Authorities option.
    1. Click OK.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Click Finish.
  1. If another security warning dialog displays, click Yes.
